Aggregate Resources, Engineering & Terrain Geology:
Aggregate Planning Projects
Representative Assignments

Quarry Strategy
Dibblee Construction Limited
Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, Ontario

Comprehensive GIS databases were prepared in support of the aggregate planning process, including preparation of evidence for possible future Board hearings. These databases include planning information, surficial and bedrock mapping, hydrological data, aggregate demand, resource protection and aggregate reserves (existing and potential) and provide input for evaluation of existing licensed reserves and for selection and assessment of potential new aggregate extraction sites for licensing or protection.

Regional Aggregate Supply Model
Dibblee Construction Limited
Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, Ontario

Truck haul allocation models were established to evaluate landed aggregate transportation cost at any location and to evaluate the impact of quarry depletion/establishment and new highway transportation facilities in the regional aggregate supply model. Prepared technical evidence for possible future Board hearings.

Mineral Resource Evaluation
Dibblee Construction Limited
Osgoode Township, Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton, Ontario

Limestone mineral resource evaluation, drilling and core logging and analysis in conjunction with MTO (Downsview), production and reserve estimates, and market analysis. Provincial Mineral Aggregate Resources Policy and Official Plan review and interpretation.

Aggregate Assessment
Campobello Island, New Brunswick

Environmental assessment and recommendations for rehabilitation of granular extraction and stockpiling of aggregate on Herring Cove Beach. Comparison of historical aerial photography to determine the extent of beach extraction and "rate" of coastal erosion.
